Digital attendance sheet: not just for BNI chapters

By Liwa Teamattendance sheetassociationssmall organizations

Liwa was originally designed for BNI chapters, but the need it covers, having people sign in at a meeting and keeping a clean record of it, concerns far more organizations than that. Any structure that meets regularly and has to track who was present can use the Starter plan at €19 per month, without any link to BNI.

A tool born for BNI, useful well beyond it

The BNI Connect features and bizouk tracking, specific to the BNI world, remain reserved for the higher plans. But the core of the product, touch signature, automatic PDF generation, sending the report, tracking attendance over time, does not depend on anything specific to BNI. It is a complete sign-in system that works for any recurring meeting.

Who else can use Liwa

Associations with regular meetings

Board of directors, committee meeting, local branch assembly: many associations must prove a quorum or simply keep a reliable record of their meetings, sometimes required for a grant application or an annual activity report.

Clubs and professional networks outside BNI

Entrepreneur clubs, local business networks, professional groups: any club that holds regular meetings with a notion of participation to track finds in Liwa a directly usable tool, with no specific setup to do.

Training organizations

A continuing education session often requires having a sign-in sheet signed, sometimes several times a day, demanded by funding bodies to justify the hours attended by each participant.

Condominiums and residents’ committees

Residents’ committee meetings or general assemblies of a condominium regularly require a signed attendance sheet, useful in case of a later dispute over the quorum reached.

Small community or sports organizations

A sports club that holds coaches’ meetings, a festival committee, a neighborhood society: any structure with recurring meetings and a need for simple tracking can use it, without unnecessary complexity.

Why it is not yet a reflex everywhere

Today, many organizations outside the BNI world are simply not yet used to automating the import of their guests or participants by email, unlike BNI chapters that benefit from BNI Connect. For these organizations, the immediate value of Liwa lies less in the automation of the import than in the simplicity of the touch signature and the automatic generation of the report, two points that already save time without depending on a specific email integration.

What the €19 per month Starter plan includes

This plan covers a single group or a single organization, which matches exactly the need of an association, a training organization, or a small structure that does not need to manage several entities in parallel.

Sign-up and setup work the same way, whatever the type of organization: create the account, set up the meeting schedule, add the usual members or participants, and it is ready for the first meeting. No BNI-specific feature is imposed or enabled by default, only the generic sign-in functions are used.

The questions these organizations ask before getting started

Do you have to be a BNI chapter to create an account? No. Creating an account does not require belonging to any particular network, you simply set up your organization like any other group, with its own name and its own meeting schedule.

Does the generated PDF mention BNI anywhere? No either. The attendance PDF uses the name of the organization set up by the user, with no reference to BNI if the organization has nothing to do with that network.

Does the price stay the same without the BNI Connect features? Yes, the Starter plan at €19 per month covers a single group or organization, whether the BNI Connect features are used or not. There is no reduced rate for organizations outside BNI, but there is no extra cost either.

A concrete example: a training organization

Take an organization that runs continuing education sessions twice a week, with ten to twenty participants per session. Before Liwa, the trainer printed a sign-in sheet every morning, had it signed at the start and end of the day as some funders require, then scanned the document to archive it.

With digital sign-in, the tablet stays at the entrance of the room, each participant signs on arrival and on departure, and the archivable PDF is generated automatically at the end of each session, ready to be sent to the funding body without an extra scanning step.

In short

The need for a reliable attendance sheet, signed and archived automatically, is not limited to BNI chapters. Any association, club, training organization or small structure that holds regular meetings can use Liwa from the Starter plan at €19 per month, without ever having to touch the features specific to the BNI world.
